Available for auction is a vintage porcelain Mobil shield sign from Germany, measuring approximately 23.5" x 23.5". This rare version features the distinctive “Oel” spelling in place of “Oil,” making it highly desirable among collectors of original service station memorabilia. 
The seller states the porcelain surface remains in very good condition, retaining strong color and gloss, with only minor areas of wear and loss as shown in the photos. A striking and authentic piece, this German Mobil shield is a standout addition to any automotive or petroliana collection. Less than 1 day left in this Reserve Auction. I have sent the photos to an avid Mobil collector. He has one of the most extensive Mobil collections including signs and pumps. He reviewed the photos and has confirmed that the sign is indeed a genuine foreign German version.
TAC authentication is also an option for the buyer at buyer's discretion and cost. If sign does not meet TAC authentication then I will happily refund cost of sign and authentication fee.

@W31SSACH There are many concave reproductions. I have some in my own collection. But I knew they were reproduction and paid accordingly.
The great fact is this: Any serious collector will tell you if there are grinding tool marks its fake. You need only use common sense and ask yourself how you would get through multiple layers of porcelain and end up with that kind of "aging".
There is no explanation except it's done in a crap hole factory in Mumbai where they churn these out day in and day out.

This is not a reproduction. First of all this sign is concave and not flat like the example you have shown. It does not have the sloppy lettering and incorrect font as the one you have shown. This sign was purchased from a well known collector of porcelain signs. While it is not TAC Authenticated, I will standby the authenticity. If the buyer wants TAC authentication, I'll gladly ship it directly to Dan Matthews first.
This is a reproduction. Not original. Look at the wear marks and it's obvious they were made with a motorized hand grinder. It's super common and the easiest way to tell if something is real or made in India.
