The Chrysler Corporation was established on June 6, 1925, by Walter Chrysler, following the conclusion of production for the Chalmers automobile in late 1923. Walter Chrysler introduced the Chrysler automobile in January 1924, based on the six-cylinder Chrysler Model B, marking the genesis of the Chrysler Corporation. This restored 1926 Roadster example has been refinished in dual-tone maroon and black over maroon leather upholstery under previous ownership, and features wood-spoke wheels, rear "rumble seats", and more. Previously listed on PCARMARKET, it is being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
The 1926 Chrysler Model G-70 retained the previous year's style, featuring doors raised off the body sills. Headlamp designs were updated, initially with drum headlamps and hooded rings for early models. This Roadster example is said to have been refinished in a dual-tone maroon and black lacquer, complemented by chrome brightwork and a tan soft top. It rides on factory-style wooden multi-spoke wheels dressed in white wall tires. The seller notes a small scratch on the right front area, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the cabin presents maroon upholstery along the seats and door panels with matching carpets and a wooden four-spoke steering wheel. Equipment includes a floor-mounted shifter, central-mounted instrumentation, door storage pockets, and iconic rear “rumble” seats.
The G-70 came factory-equipped with a 219ci L-head six-cylinder engine sending power to the front wheels through a 3-speed sliding gear transmission. Equipment includes a conventional C-section steel frame, a single carburetor, four-wheel hydraulic brake drums, and a suspension consisting of live axles and semi-elliptical leaf springs. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

Lots of grease fittings all over the mechanicals. I presume permanently lubricated bearings were a thing of the future a hundred years ago.
