We are pleased to present this 2016 Porsche 911 R finished in white over a black leather and houndstooth interior. Representing one of the rarest modern Porsche’s on the road, the 911 R was introduced in 2016 and limited to a production run of only 991 units worldwide. Featuring extensive weight savings measures and a 500 HP naturally aspirated flat-six engine which is mated to 6-speed manual transmission, the 911 R is an unadulterated sports car for the driving purist. This 2016 example is one of only 273 cars delivered to the U.S. and is said to be the only finished in this particular configuration. Showcasing exclusive options including the Front Axle Lift System and a single-mass flywheel with reinforced clutch, this one-owner 911 R is now being offered for auction in brand-new condition showing only 17 delivery miles on the odometer.
This 911 R is finished in white with a distinctive silver Porsche livery. Having never been subjected to roadgoing conditions, this car is said to be entirely as new with full exterior ceramic coating. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. In an effort to save weight, the 911 R utilizes carbon fiber for its front fenders and luggage compartment lid, magnesium for its roof and titanium for its exhaust. The 911 R also features a simplified speed-activated rear spoiler which works in conjunction with a fixed underbody diffuser. This example has been equipped LED headlights in black as well as the Front Axle Lift System which enables the nose of the car to be raised when traversing obstacles. Yellow PCCB brake calipers complement factory center lock wheels which come dressed in their original Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Inside, you will find a Custom Tailored black extended leather and houndstooth interior with deviated stitching in GT Silver. The lightweight philosophy of the 911 R is carried out throughout the cabin with molded carbon fiber seat backrests, a rear seat delete, interior door pulls and the removal of sound deadening material. Unique details include nostalgic houndstooth seat inserts, black faced gauges with light green markings and a factory limitation placard denoting this example as #180/991. A true no-expense spared configuration, this 911 R is accompanied by an original window sticker totaling over $227k which highlights the following exclusive options:
This 911 R offers a potent naturally aspirated 4.0 L flat-six engine which is mated to 6-speed manual transmission with an optional single-mass flywheel and reinforced clutch. 500 HP is sent to the rear wheels making for a 0-60 time of approximately 3.7 seconds and a claimed top speed of 200 MPH. Standard performance features include a limited-slip differential and robust PCCB ceramic composite brakes which offer consistent stopping power throughout the most demanding driving conditions. With only 17 delivery miles showing on the odometer, this 911 R is just awaiting its next owner.
Hailed as one of the greatest driving modern Porsche 911’s, Car and Driver claims “The 911 R is simply spectacular to drive. It is a joyous thing. And it’s proof positive that plenty of Germans know how to hang it all out there and just have a good time.”
The sale of this rare 911 R will include a set of two keys, original books and tools, the window sticker and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. Do not miss out on this opportunity to own a beautifully configured example of one of the most highly collectible modern Porsche’s.

I do believe the stripes are OE. When my PTS r was delivered this car was there at the same time and was exactly like this in the first photos i ever saw of it. Pretty cool!

@twiskus Sounds good. I've actually had exterior exclusive items (custom painted wheels on my GT2RS) not show up on the sticker, so I know that it's possible. Usually you can get Porsche exclusive to do a printout of all the custom options that were part of the build. I think that could be a helpful clarification from your end. I know it sounds silly that whether a few stickers were factory or dealer installed would make a difference, but they just do in this specific car.
Thanks
@soulsea there is a 14K custom tailoring option that I do believe was part of the customer GT Silver stripes. I am awaiting confirmation. We did NOT add the stripes later.
sub'd for comment about striping from factory or dealer installed. Nice car!
Hi,
The stripes do not show on the sticker. (they do in my now sold R)
Did you purchase them and have them installed after purchase?
Thanks
Does this car have Apple CarPlay? I know that sounds like a silly question but it future-proofs the car for me. I have several air-cooled Porsches 911s in which I’ve replaced the factory radio with the PCRN radio (with navigation, Bluetooth iPhone support, Sirius) and it allows me to drive them to/from work without missing calls or take them on long road trips with decent navigation and music. I’m really looking forward to the new PCCM that adds CarPlay because for me it completely future-proofs the car. BTW I keep the original radios just in case I ever decide to sell the car and in my two most classic Porsche models (73 Carrera RS 2.7 and 75 930 Turbo) I kept the crappy factory radios in the car because I couldn’t bring myself to modernize them. But a 993 Turbo S with the modern Porsche radio is just perfect for long trips with great driving roads!
@twiskus I do not know how to message you. can you provide me a contact number for you. Needless to say if we do a deal we need to include PCAMARKET. Kindly, David
@Davidmohlman likely not honestly, but who knows. You can email or message me with details.
Great Car. Any interest in a partial trade. I have a concours 1997 Porsche Carrera Cabriolet in Slate Gray. Mint.
@Porscheman81 it has been stored in my possession since new. Always garages in a climate controlled facility. Started and ran/moved 1-2 times a month. Always on a trickle charger and under cover. No children access.
Please say more about how car has been stored, "maintained" during its life..thank you
@twiskus Sent you a PM
@kecho while I love the 50’s Speedsters, I would only likely be interested in newer Porsches. Let me know what you have!
Is this an all cash sale or would the seller be interested in trading a number matching '58 Speedster plus cash for this lovely car, in the equivalent of the final bid price? Or perhaps some of valuable Porsche I might have to trade?

Lordy, this is delicious! Can’t wait to see the action on this in the last 5 minutes! Hey Suitcase! I’m still kicking myself for not buying your Riviera Blue slicktop GTS!
One of the top 2 (modern) collectible Porsche's - Carrera GT and R... Hands down.
It is arguably the best of the NA MT liquid cooled 911s'...the other being 997.2 RS 4.0. It is also probably the last special car the company will ever make. I've owned almost 70 911's in 40 years, including 959, race cars and many RS's. No comp to $300k+ Speedster or GT3 Touring no matter what you read. R's will evaporate into collections never to see the light of day which is a shame because driving it is a privilege to drive.
@prl FURTHER UPDATE. I had ordered Porsche CXX factory lower PAINT TO MATCH mirror caps as well as Porsche CXX factory PAINT TO MATCH interior climate vent slats. I have both sealed in box, never installed. When that dealership ordered it, somehow it was entered to CARFAX as them doing a service for those trim items. They are correcting it as the car never had a service visit that day or with those miles. They estimated miles because Porsche required miles at the time of order. Unfortunately they didn’t check with me first and put what they wanted for miles. Again, it is being corrected with the dealer and subsequently with CARFAX. Car has 17 miles.
@prl CARFAX is incorrect because that dealer fat fingered the miles as 36 instead of 16. It is being corrected and updated. Thx!
Old pictures? Or is the carfax wrong? States 36 miles in 2027 at porsche dealer.
My wife and I drove my R for a 2000 mile road trip. I can not describe the incredible driving experience and that includes all of my air-cooled drives! Definitely the best example of any 911 ever!! Whoever gets this special car (love the color combo!) is going to have to drive it alot!
