Available for auction is 1 of only 100 Mopar Hellephant crate engines produced. When the Dodge Hellephant crate engine was first announced at SEMA in 2018, it took the automotive world by storm. For the first time ever, a major automaker offered a crate engine capable of producing up to 1,000 HP and 950 lb. ft of torque using standard 93 octane pump gas. The Hellephant name stems from the 1964 Chrysler Hemi Elephant 426 engine, an engine that got its nickname due to its sheer size.
The name of new Hellephant engine is a portmanteau of Hellcrate and Elephant and just like its forefather, the engine has a swept capacity of 426 cu. in. though it weighs far less thanks to the use of aluminum alloy for the block, heads, and pistons. The 1,000-hp crate engine could only be special ordered and all 100 were spoken for within 48 hours.
The Hellephant utilizes a 3.0-liter supercharger which sends 15 pounds of boost down the intake and is managed using an electronic system. This incredible engine hits the magical 1,000 horsepower mark via bulked-up displacement with 4.0 inches of stroke and bore specs at 4.125 inches. This example is engine #82 and includes the optional wiring harness allowing it to be compatible with whatever car it’s ultimately installed into. Also included with the engine is a larger racing oil pan. The engine will be shipped in a protective crate. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

@B.Hans The engine has never been out of the crate. It has remained sealed since I purchased it. As to the other part of your question, all I can say is I ordered the engine with the engine harness, part #77072500AB and the enlarged oil pan, sump, pan bolt and dip stick. No other non standard options were purchased.
Has the engine been installed in a car previously? Does it include the PCM and throttle by-wire pedal?
