The original Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class (R170) was launched in 1996 as a more agile and compact alternative to the flagship SL-Class grand touring car based on a shortened version of the W202 C-Class platform. @pauliefein Thanks for the Rah-Rah BS.
Cars that SIT often have suspensions that ROT.
@On2luck The Carfax tells the story; Florida car under 1st owner driven a meager 3500 miles per year (pretty average for a weekend fun car) and then the car spent the rest of its life in Pennsylvania. Sorry, but you're not daily driving a car this pretty in PA. The two PA owners drove this car much like people ride their motorcycles in the NE; only on dry, clear and sunny days adding less than 500 miles per year. This car is so dope! I'm scolding myself right now, "don't hit the button, don't hit the button, don't hit the button!"
What are the date codes on the tires? Have the wheels been refinished? Do the lips of the wheels have a turned finish or are they painted the same silver as the centers of the wheels?
Thank you

On2luck- I have not a clue why the car was not driven more, the beautiful thing for the next owner is that it did not have miles put on it but was indeed annually serviced and serviced as needed.
Why wasn’t this car driven more?
